CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard Training in Somerville, MA
Somerville is the densest city in New England, which means help is usually close and the person standing next to you matters most in the first three minutes. Wicked Safety Training certifies Somerville families, sitters, restaurant crews, daycare staff and small businesses in CPR, first aid, AED use and more. We are an American Red Cross Premier Licensed Training Provider, an AHA Training Site and an HSI Training Center, and our instructors are working RNs, EMTs, paramedics and credentialed aquatics professionals with over 100 years of combined experience.

Individual Seats or Group Training
Most Somerville bookings start with one person. Register online for an open-enrollment seat and get certified without an employer involved, which is how most parents, sitters, coaches and trainers come to us.
Businesses and centers book privately. Group, corporate and recurring-training discounts apply, and we build custom annual training plans for daycares, schools and restaurant groups that certify the same staff every year.
On-Site Training Across Somerville
We come to you with the manikins, AED trainers and supplies, so a whole staff can certify in one room without closing for the day. That fits restaurants and bars around Davis, Union and Ball Squares, offices and labs at Assembly Row, daycares and preschools in Winter Hill, Magoun Square and East Somerville, and gyms, studios and youth programs across the city.
Sessions can be split across shifts so a kitchen or a classroom is never left uncovered, and we schedule around your hours.
Who This Training Is Designed For
- Parents and caregivers who want infant and child skills practiced, not just described
- Babysitters and nannies building a credential families actually ask for
- Restaurant and hospitality crews covering choking, burns and bleeding control
- Daycares and preschools meeting Massachusetts licensing and ratio requirements
- Small business owners putting one trained responder on every shift
Certification and Recertification
The card you want is the one earned in person. The Red Cross keeps online-only education separate from in-person and blended certification for a reason, and licensing bodies across Mass generally follow the same line, so every certification class we run includes hands-on skills practice.
Depending on the course you choose, you'll receive an American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or HSI certification. Your course listing shows which card you'll get before you pay. Online registration and eCard delivery are available for most courses. Renewal expectations vary by employer, so we confirm the exact certification details at registration. Need to change your date? Transfers requested more than 24 hours before class are available for a $50 fee, subject to availability. Aquatics courses follow a separate refund schedule. See our Terms.

Somerville Training Questions
What is the right class for a parent or a new babysitter?
Parents usually take Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, which covers infant, child and adult care. Younger sitters take Safe Sitter or Babysitter Training, which adds the judgement side of the job alongside the emergency skills.
How far is the classroom from Somerville?
Our classroom is at 546 Main Street in Woburn, a straight run up I-93 from Somerville and usually under twenty-five minutes. Groups can skip the drive entirely and have us teach on site.
Can a small Somerville business train just four or five staff?
Yes, and there are two ways to do it. Send them to a public class as individuals, or book a private on-site session so nobody loses half a day to travel. Group and recurring-training discounts apply either way.
Do daycare staff need in-person certification in Massachusetts?
Childcare licensing generally expects certification backed by hands-on skills testing, not an online-only certificate. The Red Cross treats those as different things, and our classes include real infant and child practice with an instructor watching.
What if my current card expires soon?
Book a recertification seat before the date printed on it. Renewal windows are set by your employer or licensing body rather than by us, so we confirm the exact certification details at registration.
